Affordable Eating Disorder
Therapy Vancouver
Specialized eating disorder therapy at a reduced rate.
About the Program
The Reconnection Project was created with one intention: to make specialized, compassionate eating disorder therapy more accessible to those who need support.
Sessions are offered at $80 per 50-minute session, delivered by Rachel Pham, a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC) with experience working in healthcare and outpatient eating disorder programs across British Columbia.
All sessions are offered online, making this program accessible to anyone in BC.
Our Mission
The Reconnection Project was created to offer reduced-cost therapy for individuals experiencing financial hardship to access support for eating disorders, disordered eating, and body image concerns.
This initiative aims to make compassionate, trauma-informed care feel more accessible, approachable, and within reach.
The Heart Behind The Name
What Reconnection Means
This journey can feel overwhelming, especially when support has felt difficult to access or hard to begin.
The name reflects the heart of this work. Many people come to therapy feeling disconnected in some way - from themselves, their needs, their relationships, their values, or the life they want to move toward. Healing is not only about changing patterns; it is also about slowly rebuilding a sense of safety, trust, and connection within yourself and your life.
Through a gentle and collaborative approach, The Reconnection Project offers space to explore healing at a pace that feels supportive and sustainable. The hope is to create a place where people feel met with care, compassion, and understanding as they explore what healing and reconnection can look like for them.
Program Details
Who is This Program For
The Reconnection Project is for individuals seeking support with eating disorders, disordered eating, and body image concerns who may benefit from a more accessible counselling rate.
Sessions are offered at a reduced rate of $80 per 50-minute session with Rachel Pham, a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC).
Spaces are limited and intended for individuals who are looking for specialized support but may find the standard session fee difficult to access at this time.
Who Can Apply
The Reconnection Project is open to individuals aged 19 and older who are B.C. residents experiencing financial hardship and seeking support for eating disorders, disordered eating, or body image concerns.
This program may be a good fit for individuals who are open to engaging in therapy, exploring their patterns with curiosity and compassion, and working collaboratively toward goals that feel meaningful to them.
How it Works
The first step is a free 15-minute consultation with an eating disorder therapist to determine whether the program is a good fit for your needs at this time.
If the program is a good fit, clients are invited to attend sessions every one to two weeks for up to 6 months.

MSP does not cover private counselling or therapy in BC. It only covers mental health care delivered by a doctor or psychiatrist through a hospital or community mental health clinic.
Most private therapy sessions are paid out of pocket, through extended health benefits, or through sliding scale arrangements, like The Reconnection Project.
Who We See
We provide support for adolescents and adults presenting with:
Anorexia Nervosa
Bulimia Nervosa
Binge Eating Disorder
Disordered Eating
Other eating disorder concerns
We also work with clients presenting with co-occurring anxiety, depression, and trauma alongside an eating disorder presentation.
Medical stability: Clients should be medically stable and have basic medical monitoring in place before starting therapy.
If you are unsure about your medical stability, please consult your physician before starting.
Who We Do Not See
To ensure the best possible match between client needs and our level of care, we are not able to accept referrals for clients who:
Require inpatient or residential level of care
Are not medically stable

Are navigating relationships with substances
If you are unsure whether it is appropriate for outpatient treatment, please contact us, and we would be happy to discuss.
How to Apply
-
Step 1: Book a free consultation
The first step is to book a free 15-minute virtual consultation.
This gives us the chance to connect and explore whether The Reconnection Project may be a supportive fit for you.
Reduced-cost spaces are limited, and booking a consultation does not guarantee a program space.
-
Step 2: Explore fit together
During the consultation, I will ask a few questions about what has been bringing you to therapy, what you are hoping to work toward, and what kind of support feels most needed right now.
We will also talk about whether this program aligns with your goals and whether it can offer the level of support you need at this time.
-
Step 3: Discuss next steps
If The Reconnection Project feels like the right fit and a reduced-cost space is available, we will discuss scheduling and begin counselling.
Sessions are offered at $80 per 50-minute session for up to six months.
