About
Hi! I’m Rachel, a Registered Clinical Counsellor in Burnaby who helps young adults, parents, and students work through anxiety, burnout, and the weight of carrying more than you were meant to hold.
My approach is evidence-based and trauma-informed to hold your entire story: your experiences, relationships, identity, culture, and the ways you learned to cope.

-
Emotionally Focused Family Therapy (EFFT) is an attachment-based approach that helps identify the patterns keeping people stuck and rebuild safety, trust, and connection.

Internal Family Systems (IFS) is a therapy model that views one’s inner world as made up of different parts, each with its own role, and helps you build a compassionate relationship with all of them.
-
Somatic therapy is a body-based approach to trauma treatment that works with the nervous system's stress responses, using physical awareness and regulation techniques alongside traditional talk therapy

Anxiety therapy may be helpful if anxiety is affecting your sleep, relationships, work, school, confidence, boundaries, or ability to feel present in your life.
If you are unsure whether therapy is the right fit, you are welcome to book a free consultation call to ask questions and explore what support could look like.
-
Yes. Many of the people I work with are holding it together at work or school while feeling stretched thin inside. We look at where the pressure stems from, then build tools for your meetings, deadlines, and late nights.
-
You're not alone, and you don't have to explain everything. Many people feel caught between what their family expects and what they want. We work through it at your pace, without taking sides.
-
Yes. Anxiety, resentment, and guilt often build up around home life, and they can be hard to voice. In therapy, we explore what you're feeling, the patterns that keep you stuck, and the needs that haven't been heard. We also look at how anxiety shapes the way you relate to yourself and to your partner.
-
Yes. Many parents feel like they're running on empty and never doing enough. Therapy gives you a place that's just for you, to work through the guilt and pressure, understand what's draining you, and build the steadiness to keep showing up without losing yourself.
